Credit reporting

Complaint #1807627 submitted on 02/27/2016 relating to Experian. Complaint relates to Credit reporting - Incorrect information on credit report Account status.

Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Saturday 27th February 2016.

Narrative (may be redacted).

1. There has been a XXXX XXXX error in the Experian Credit Report of this Complainant - consisting of a failure to comply with the 7-year maximum Federal Law to timely remove a defaulted ( " charge-off '' ) credit card debt error in this complainant 's personal Experian credit report for the credit card debt filed by XXXX XXXX - listed as the XXXX account beginning with # XXXX. More specifically, the error is in the 7-year removal date - where Experian has not deleted this negative from this complainant 's Experian report after the end date of the 84th month - the date of XX/XX/XXXX in this case - in contradiction with the facts this complainant provided in his phone call to Experian on XX/XX/XXXX and via USPO mailed documents two days later, a follow-up on Experian Dispute file ( response dated XX/XX/XXXX ) # XXXX ). The incorrect end-timing XXXX provided to Experian is " XXXX '' - three months tardy.

2. The specific documentation of this XXXX late fee date ( of XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ) is attached to this complaint. All of the documentation for correcting this complaint error is described in a multi-page letter filed with this complainant 's XXXX CFPB complaint ( i.e., this is complaint # XXXX - which was filed after # XXXX was filed ) as the final item in a set recently filed with all XXXX CRA 's on XXXX credit card debts. Also provided with that letter in this complaint are a number of documents, including ( a ) the recent XXXX reply letter to this complainant ( dated XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ) that fails to acknowledge this error, ( b ) copies of a complete XXXX listing of every monthly billing statement transaction from XXXX XXXX for the 6 years the card was active, that XXXX has failed to acknowledge, perpetuating their error, i.e., a document that contradicts the XXXX XXXX/XXXX/XXXX reply - a response which ignores the documentation this complainant provided - docs that irrefutably support this complainant 's corrections, and ( c ) a copy of the XXXX contemporaneous monthly statement posting by the debtor company ( i.e., this complainant 's employer ) of the 1st missed payment late fee - that proves this complainant 's correction of this error - using the books of the company that incurred these charges. The attached letter written by this complainant also explains how these credit card debts are all company debts and that none are personal ( non-business ) charges made by this complainant. XXXX was also sent " hard '' copies of a virtually identical set of documents ( via the US Post Office ) for delivery on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX.

3. This complainant 's lost income damages are also detailed in the attached letter. In summary, these damages are {$420.00} per week-day plus, as this complainant is a victim of fraud and as such, this complainant 's state law specifies treble damages ( of {$420.00} X XXXX ) or {$1.00} per week-day, if the CFPB chooses to assess damages in this case. The lost income damages are due to the reluctance of prospective employers of this complainant who, because of his credit report major negatives, are not willing to hire him - or any job applicant - for any financial ( or security ) position of trust.
