Citibank closed my Citi Prestige card after I paid the annual fee for the membership year. They closed it about 6 months after I paid the fee, and are refusing to refund the portion of the fee covering the remaining 6 months of the membership year. Citibank 's communication with me, which is attached, states they would refund it if I closed the account within 30 days of paying it. It was not my choice to close my account which never had a late or missed payment, so Citibank is participating in unfair and deceptive practices by charging a fee and then closing an account leaving me without access to paid benefits.
