I have being paying my student loan ( {$500.00} ) plus extra each month ( approx. {$250.00} ) to pay off faster & I have been doing this for years. The " Amount Due '' has not changed since interest rates ( prime ) were lowered XX/XX/XXXX/XX/XX/XXXX. Suddenly XX/XX/XXXX they lowered my payment by {$110.00} and applied an additional {$940.00} to the principle. I found this odd so I called 3 times to get an answer from them. I was promised 2 times that they would send additional information to explain what happened & prove that they rectified the situation correctly but I have not received anything yet. They can not provide any detail over the phone except it was taken care of correctly. One of their reps was extremely rude.
