Eos cca contacted me by phone saying that I had a {$270.00} debt from XXXX from 2012 and asked for my credit card number to pay off the debt. I have never had an XXXX account in my name, and had certainly never received any type of notification of debt. The only information I could find on this company was on XXXX and I read several stories similar to mine. I called XXXX and they had no record of me having an account or ever having a debt. I called Eos and told them this and they said that a customer service representative wouldnt know since they sold the account to the agency. I then called XXXX back and they said that even after they sell an account to a debt collector, they keep a record of who they sold it to and such, the account does n't just completely disappear. Eos said they would send me a fraud kit to fill out but it just does n't seem legitimate. They also said they already reported me to the credit bureau which seemed more like they wanted me to go ahead and give them my credit card number over the phone.
