Complaint #1770529 submitted on 02/03/2016 relating to National Account Systems of Omaha, LLC. Complaint relates to Debt collection Auto - Disclosure verification of debt Not given enough info to verify debt.
Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Wednesday 3rd February 2016.
I purchased a car from XXXX in XXXX, after making multiple repairs in the first 10 months the engine blew. They informed me I could either turn the cat back over to them or they would discount repairs. I chose to turn the car back over never being informed that it was considered a repossession. This was in XXXX of 2015, fast forward to XX/XX/XXXX I get a collection notice from national account systems of XXXX telling me I owe a debt of XXXX, I left multiple messages to never receive a call back. Instead they tried to garnish my wife 's wages, she disputed it and they backed off. Now they have reported to my credit report that i owe an unpaid debt. This has been detrimental to my attempts to get a home loan. Still they refuse to return my calls or send me the information they claim they have verifying that I owe this debt. I have looked in to Nebraska repossession laws and they state that wolfsons was required to give me the paperwork stating I will owe them money at the time the car was returned to them. Their failure to do this or to contact me prior to turning it in to collections should make this debt claim void, but this company refuses to drop it or to even try and contact me
