My father had some medical bills while undergoing XXXX for XXXX. He passed away, and there were XXXX outstanding bills for XXXX.

My mother had traveled to be with her sisters. I went back to the state I live in. The last of the bills were sent to my parents home. Then a collection agency ( ACCOUNT RESOLUTION CORP. ) based out of XXXX, MO sent collection notices ( to imaging sessions ) to my parents home. Ultimately they filed it under my dad 's name, and his SSN, and address with the XXXX and XXXX. The bureaus then somehow linked that with my SSN and his address.

I have n't lived with my parent 's in years, different state, address, etc. However, both XXXX and XXXX reported me as having a collections report filed against me - possibly purely based on my name. My mother had kept her maiden name. So more than a year later, I receive an alert saying the XXXX charges ( totaling XXXX {$600.00} ) had n't been paid and I was delinquent.

I had no idea these charges existed, the collections agency claims to have reported my dad 's SSN and address correctly. The only link was, I grew up at that address as a child.

Now I have the headache of dealing with XXXX unresponsive agencies who made an incompetent mistake that is on my credit history a few weeks before I 'm applying for a home loan.
