Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Wednesday 10th June 2015.
This " debt '' results from fees incurred when I terminated my XXXX XXXX account upon moving to XXXX pursuant to XXXX. As an XXXX, I invoked the protections of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act and provided XXXX XXXX with requested documentation at the time of termination. XXXX assured me no termination fees would be charged. XXXX assessed me the fees anyway, and I called them ( at XXXX long distance rates ) to work things out. They apologized and refunded the {$340.00}. The next month, XXXX again debited the {$340.00} from my bank account, and I again called them ( XXXX long distance ), receiving an apology and a refund. It appears XXXX XXXX has debited my account again, in addition to turning this alleged debt over to Valentine and Kebartas , Inc., a debt collector collection action.
I am fed up with XXXX XXXX acting in blatant contravention of the SCRA, and I do not want to waste additional funds calling them XXXX long distance to try and resolve the issue.
