I purchased a vehicle from XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. I paid XXXX XXXX {$2500.00} as down payment and leased the vehicle from XXXX XXXX. Some time in the future, I was involved in an accident and the vehicle was totaled. I had thought I purchased gap insure but was advised I did not. XXXX XXXX gave the outstanding of approximately {$9000.00} to XXXX XXXX who garnished my wages at the time until the debt was paid in full. Sometime in XX/XX/XXXX, I was served documents to go to court from another attorney who advises I owe his client XXXX which purchased the {$2500.00} Debt from XXXX of XXXX ( who had filed Bankruptcy a while back ) that they have a court judgment asking for approx. $ XXXX. I have had communication with the attorney and we came to a settlement of {$4000.00}, however, I have advised him that this debt is untrue and have asked for verification. He has not responded period and is unable to verify the debt. In fact, he stated that he only knows what the client has stated and that I owe this money. The attorney has threatened my business and to subpoena all my investors and I did not want this embarrassment and agreed to a settlement. I am reconsidering my position and would like verification of this debt.
