Complaint #1387189 submitted on 05/21/2015 relating to Asset Management Outsourcing, Inc.. Complaint relates to Debt collection Medical - False statements or representation Attempted to collect wrong amount.

Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Thursday 21st May 2015.

Narrative (may be redacted).

In XX/XX/XXXX I had a surgical procedure. Prior to the procedure I was told to pay ( I do n't remember the exact amount ) about {$600.00} upfront to cover charges that my health insurance company did not cover. At that time, I asked the hospital if this was their final bill or would there be any further bills after the procedure. I was told NO, no further bills would be forthcoming. A month later I got a bill for {$220.00} and have been disputing it ever since based on what they had told me prior to the procedure. Yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted Nationwide Recovery Services - XXXX - and told them I would pay this disputed amount if they would confirm to me, in writing, that they would remove this derogatory information WHEN they receive my payment. The person I spoke with ( XXXX XXXX ) informed me that they were unwilling to provide any such assurances to me. So, I 'm between a rock and a hard place. I 'm willing to pay a bill that I do n't owe but the collection agency will not confirm that it will be removed from my record WHEN they receive my payment. This is simply outrageous.
