I got a phone call from a woman from Del Ray Capital saying i took out a payday loan from the cash store. They told me they were an installment loan place. the lady told me i was going to be charged with a misdemeanor and go to jail as well get sued. she got very nasty with me yelling at me and reading stuff off of my credit report. she called me at my place of business i asked her not to and she said they could do whatever they want. I asked her to mail me documentation on her allegations and she said no she would just have my county proceed with charging me. I know my rights but for someone who doesnt know this could have been very scary. the amount she said i owe is more than XXXX of what i borrowed. i did make payments towards it when i got it as well. I hope they are investigated and learn that you can not talk to consumers in that way. threatening is no way to collect a debt, i worked collections for many years. i asked to speak to a supervisor and the rep proceeded to tell me she was the owner of the company.
