Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Saturday 18th April 2015.
I noticed on my credit report that there was a strange addition of negative information, so I called the company listed. They identified themselves as BC Services upon my phone call on XX/XX/XXXX. I asked what the debt was that they were reporting and they claimed to have called my number in XX/XX/XXXX. I have no record of contact at that time, nor do I remember speaking to any debt collector. I asked to speak with a supervisor and the supervisor was aggressive. I told him that I would need further verification of the debt so I can make an informed decision as a consumer. I told him I would be sending a letter requesting more information and his reply was that " I do not need to send a letter ... I can verify whatever you need over the phone. '' I proceeded to send the letter anyways so I could get the information I needed in writing. Today, XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter in response which was XXXX pages ( attached ) that tell me have no basis to verify both the debt, nor the information needed to verify BC Services right to collect on this debt. Their letter also indicated " Enclosed are the statements provided by our client that confirm the charges ; '' however, the letter did not include any statements. They only list that the charge is from XXXX XXXX and each of the XXXX pages indicates a different dollar amount. I feel that the creditor is trying to collect on a debt they do not have a legal right to collect on, based on the avoidance of submitting to me proof that they currently hold the debt and they have a legal right to collect on the creditor 's behalf.
