Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Saturday 11th April 2015.
Prior to complete a Balance Transfer request with Chase Bank, I inquired about negotiating the Balance Transfer Fee. I was told this was not a possibility, but that as soon as the fee posts, I could call to have it waived. When I noticed it posting, I called Customer Service and even spoke to a supervisor who told me he was trying to waive it for me, but the system was not allowing him. He even mentioned that it analysis the overall relationship and was declining his request at this time, which made me feel worse about the whole situation since I like banking with Chase. There just was a false expectation created on me at the time when I XXXX inquired about the 3 % balance transfer fee that even though the terms and conditions included it and it is a valid fee, after it posts, Chase could as a courtesy, waive it for me. And the fact that a supervisor understood this and approved my request by attempting to waive it, but the system did n't allow it, makes me feel sad, frustrated and even deceit. I was not made aware that the fee could not be reversed at the time when I could still cancel the Balance Transfer transaction, I was told it would AFTER it posts.
