I got divorced in XXXX. Trying to get my name off of my second mortgage without forcing the ex husband to refinance because it would make it to where he could n't afford the house. I have been requesting a release of liability from CitiMortgage since XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I have spent over 20 hours on hold. Been transferred from XXXX department to another and been told conflicting information concerning the release and an assumption. According the federal XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX of XXXX a refinance ca n't be forced on XXXX spouse due to a divorce. I believe CitiMortgage should let him assume full responsibility for the mortgage and provide a release of liability to me.
