Here are the small print rules : http : XXXX Retirees get once a month direct deposit checks.
Since it takes the Treasury /Social Security 10-12 days to set up a new electronic bridge to the bank ... it is simply impossible for retirees to have XXXX checks deposited into the new account within a strict 90 day window as specified by the bank.
The third direct deposit would always exceed the 90 day window-so the customer would forfeit their $ XXXX. The bank might as well have advertised people who do n't work ( earn weekly or bi-monthly paychecks ) need not apply. The XXXX checks within 90 days rule blatantly discriminates against the elderly, the XXXX and others who receive once a month income.
