Complaint #1743805 submitted on 01/16/2016 relating to First National Collection Bureau, Inc.. Complaint relates to Debt collection Other (i.e. phone, health club, etc.) - Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt was paid.
Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Tuesday 9th February 2016.
I had XXXX collection on my credit report. It was from XXXX / First National Collection Bureau at http : //www.fncbinc.com/. A former roommate rang up pay-per-views on my account, I did n't agree to them and closed my account.
Here 's the thing, the account was closed in XX/XX/XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX. It 's XX/XX/XXXX, it should have been off my report.
However, according to the credit bureaus, it was opened for collection all the way into XXXX! I disputed this online, and lost somehow because they " proved '' it was sent to collections only in XX/XX/XXXX.
Is n't that illegal to forge the date that something was stopped being paid on? Or hold on to collections and report them later?
Not only that, the other day, I called First National, and paid it ( I should probably back charge it ). So after calling them and paying them over the phone, the charge on my card came up as XXXX! How weird is this?! Is XXXX playing a game where they own the collection agency and fudging dates? It seems so!
Dispute numbers I entered - XXXX of them is correct, but only had 30 days after dispute back in XX/XX/XXXX to view the results. There was another dispute that I won I had in my email with the dispute number with XXXX still.
