WELLS FARGO : My husband and I just sent letters requesting reduced monthly payments based on our income, and provided financial documentation to prove that we are struggling to make the payments. This is the second attempt that we made to work with Wells Fargo to reduce our monthly payments. Both times, their response was that the combined income of our co-signers and our own income is too high to reduce our payments. My mother, one of our co-signers, has already been paying portions of our loans to Wells Fargo, and this is documented in our file. All of our co-signers are retired, and on fixed monthly incomes.
