Sometime in 2015 I went to see a XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX about a XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX wanted me to XXXX for 24 hours. I informed XXXX XXXX I had no insurance and could not afford the XXXX. XXXX XXXX gave me a form to take to XXXX XXXX for patient assistance. At XXXX XXXX I spoke to a XXXX XXXX who I specifically told if there would be any cost I could not have the procedure. She told me the hospital would cover the cost. Later when I received a bill from the hospital and a bill from the XXXX I called XXXX XXXX to ask why I was receiving bills at which time she told me that the financing had not caught up with the billing and I should just ignore the bills. Now I am receiving letters from a debt collector from the XXXX. I am being told that there was a XXXX who had to read the XXXX and that was who the bill was owed to. I asked XXXX XXXX why she had not informed me there would be a bill when I had specifically told her if there was ANY cost I could not have the procedure. She told me there was nothing she could do about it. I have no income and just a small amount of money to live on that I inherited and could not justify spending any money on this procedure, which I did initially inform XXXX XXXX of. No one ever mentioned to me at any stage there would be a bill from a XXXX or that one would be involved. I would have opted out of the procedure if I had been informed. I feel I was never given the choice.
