I contacted XXXX XXXX at Paramount capital on XX/XX/XXXX in an attempted to settle a charged off debt of {$3700.00}. Collector stated that only the amount of {$3000.00} was acceptable at the time. On XX/XX/XXXX i received a letter from XXXX XXXX stating that {$1400.00} was an acceptable amount to consider this debt settled in full. I believe the collector has clearly violated Section 807 ( 10 ) of the FDCPA which, " prohibits the use of any false representation or deceptive means to collect or attempt to collect any debt or to obtain information concerning a consumer. ''
