Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Tuesday 29th December 2015.

Narrative (may be redacted).

I had an account with XXXX, XXXX. I closed the account in XXXX, and in XXXX I received a debt collection notice from a third party. After contacting the collection agency to officially dispute the debt I contacted XXXX. After speaking with multiple representatives I was informed that their policy on account closures is to -Obtain a new address -Inform the customer about the final bill -Ensure payment for the final bill amount.

None of those steps were followed. We moved, set up USPS mail forwarding to our new address, and continued with life.
XXXX claims they have sent XXXX bills to our old address. None of them were forwarded. The collection agency sent the collections notice to our current address.

A XXXX representative gave me the number to their collections department, which went to a different third-party agency than the one that sent me the collections notice.

The stance from XXXX is " We did everything wrong, can not provide you with a transcript of our conversations or a copy the recorded conversations with our representatives, so pay up. '' The collection agency does not respond to any written communication by me regarding the dispute or any resolution. I am currently seeking an attorney.
