Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Monday 28th December 2015.
I paid a hospital bill before due date. Weeks later I received letter from a collection agency saying I owed the same debt so I contacted the hospital system with my receipt and they assured me that it would be worked out because the account was labeled " paid in full '' and subsequently closed. Later the collection agency called me to collect the same debt so I contacted the hospital again and they reassured me that it would be taken care of and would contact the collection agency to stop attempting to collect the debt. Later I was notified the the debt had impacted my credit so I contact the hospital again and they have located the payment and would investigate why the paid bill was still sent to collections. I noticed my credit had recently dropped significantly because the debt so I inquired about the investigation and the hospital representative said they have noted to investigate the payment, not the collection and recommended I come in with the receipt to help clear up the situation.
