Hello. My name is XXXX XXXX XXXX from CT. I am a XXXX year-old retiree from the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. ). Recently I have incurred several medical bills that I can not keep up with. I have tried to pay my co-pays when I was able, but I am living on a very fixed income ( Social Security and a small pension $ XXXX monthly ). I was receiving daily and Sunday phone calls from this debt collection agency called American Adjustment Bureau. IOn XXXX of the calls I asked them to please stop. They replied " fine ''. The phone calls stopped but today I received a " privacy Assist Statement from my Bank, with a list of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX small co-pays that are delinquent. They were, evidently, reported to XXXX. There is no explanation of who they are from and today I have received another XXXX. My lawyer friend advised mje that they are " paying me back for asking them not to call by over-sending reports to the credit-reporting companies to embarrass me and further lower my credit status. Is this legal? Is it harassment. I feel that I am too old to take them on myself and wonder if there is anything else I can do.
