Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Thursday 17th December 2015.
I have a American Express-XXXX credit card and I was promised 1 % plus rebate rewards on all my purchases on that card. The rebates for the year 2014 totaled {$660.00}. However, American Express never mailed me the rebate check and when i called them today they said they can only issue me a rebate of 50 % of that amount. The balance have been " forfeited ''. I am shocked. I spoke with several of their representatives including their supervisor - XXXX - ( id # XXXX ). To me, it appears to be a massive scheme to defraud consumers where people like me are applying for cards based on the promise of 1 % refund. These refund checks are never mailed and then these credit card companies tell you that the money has been forfeited!!!
Pls intervene to investigate and stop this fraud from being perpetrated.
