American Express reported a collection account on my personal credit report even though the collection account is not my personal account. The borrower on the subject American Express account is a corporation which is " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX '' and has a corporate tax id # of XXXX. Thus, this corporation, and not me individually, is the borrower. Because I am not personally the borrower the reporting information has no reason to reflect on my personal credit report ( My social security number is XXXX ). The corporation is the borrower, not me, and is a separate and distinct legal entity under Florida and Federal law. ( the corporation is a Florida corporation ). The account number that is being reported that belongs tot he corporation is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. For whatever reason the account number that is reflected on the attached statement is different but notice the amount that is stated on the credit report {$30000.00}, is the same exact amount as on the attached statement. It is in fact the same account.
