I hired a law firm to help me with some of my credit issues. I have an account with XXXX XXXX and the law firm that I hired confirmed that the last time I made any payment was in XXXX of XXXX. According to my attorney, this account is past the Statute of Limitations and also past the reporting period for accounts to be reported on a persons credit report. They first sent out a letter via fax to inform them of what my attorneys stance was on XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XXXX XXXX XXXX I checked my credit report and the XXXX XXXX account still remains on my credit report. On XXXX XXXX XXXX, my attorney 's office called XXXX XXXX to follow up on the letter that they had sent. XXXX XXXX stated that they will continue to report it to the Credit Bureaus because the time started when the account was charged off in XXXX and not when I made my last payment in XXXX of XXXX.
