Complaint #1697237 submitted on 12/15/2015 relating to Citibank. Complaint relates to Credit card - Other .
Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Tuesday 15th December 2015.
I schedule payments for my Citibank AAdvantage Platinum MasterCard online. I have never payed late and always pay the full amount. Last month I apparently scheduled my payment two days after it was due by mistake and incurred almost {$80.00} in fees and interest. I called and Citibank waived the interest and fees. When I went to pay the current month 's bill, however, I discovered what may have been the root of my mistake. After you select the amount you are going to pay online you select a date. When you click on the calendar to select a date there are a number of days that are in bold starting with today 's date and extending out about 9 days from today. The days after that are not in bold, even though they are within the same month and in the middle of the week. What I noticed is the last two days highlighted in bold on the calendar are past the due date for this month 's payment. I believe the bolding of dates on the calendar is a deceptive practice designed to get customers to select a date that is past the due date.
