NOTE : My complaint, which while I consider as concerning a false statement, is not covered in the sub-sections below it.
Syndicated Office Systems, XXXX dba Central Financial Control, is still reporting the the credit bureaus that an account ( debt of {$200.00} ) dating back to XXXX is still open despite it being included in a Chapter XXXX bankruptcy ( XXXX XXXX ). Central Financial Control is still 'updating ' this account and showing it as open ( last reported XXXX/XXXX/XXXX ) in its reporting to the credit bureaus. I have written multiple times requesting that the account should be reported as 'closed ', but they have refused to do so, and instead now show the account info as 'disputed '. The original account is not in dispute, nor have I ever disputed it. The only thing I am disputing is that it is an 'open ' account with an associated negative credit report comment, that they are still supposedly reporting on.
Their reporting to the bureaus is incorrect and is negatively affecting my credit with all the financial penalties ( higher interest etc. ) that it entails. I worked hard to bring my score up, only to have this inaccurate negative comment on my file.
