Credit card

Complaint #1686092 submitted on 12/07/2015 relating to Amex. Complaint relates to Credit card - Identity theft / Fraud / Embezzlement .

Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Monday 7th December 2015.

Narrative (may be redacted).

I have a XXXX account and always have had a credit card in file. Once I was purchasing online and went to revise my XXXX account. Suddenly, a window popped up asking me to accept a XXXX XXXX account. It did n't let me go further until I accepted the XXXX XXXX. In addition, There was not link in small font saying " no thanks, take me to my account ''. After accepting the XXXX XXXX I was finally able to pass that window and do whatever I was going to do with the account.
After that, essentially a XXXX XXXX was created on my behalf. I called XXXX and cancel the XXXX XXXX on XXXX 2015. Everything was fine until now when they are saying that I bought an item with the XXXX XXXX and because I did n't pay, interests have been running for 6 months.
I called them up and they said that the information was sent to me via email but they can not resend that particular email. There is not more information in the XXXX website neither in my XXXX profile.
What can I do?
ThanksXXXX XXXX
