Complaint #1793107 submitted on 02/18/2016 relating to TransUnion Intermediate Holdings, Inc.. Complaint relates to Credit reporting - Unable to get credit report/credit score Problem getting my free annual report.
Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Thursday 18th February 2016.
The identity questions caused me to be unable to access my credit report online.
1. They asked for a previous phone number. I have had the current number for well over 10 years, so I could not remember a previous number I did or did not have.
2. They asked for what year my XXXX was. They had XXXX and XXXX listed, so I picked the most recent since I had both years at XXXX time.
3. They asked for business/employers I was associated with, I was unfamiliar with any of them, so possibly the company had a name I was unfamiliar with.
Because they could not " verify '' my identity I was shut out of their system. To order by phone will take weeks to receive and I know their are some items that are duplicates and incorrect which I need to fix because it is impacting my credit score.
Every year I have problems with Trans Union, either with getting my report, correcting it or disputing an item. They deliberately make these processes difficult and ask questions nearly impossible to know answers to.
