I would like to know why Scottrade failed to mention that Social Security Numbers and account numbers were stolen in the latest data breach and that the Social Security Numbers were left UN-ENCRYPTED.
That data included brokerage account numbers, spokeswoman XXXX XXXX revealed Thursday.
" They could have seen Social Security numbers, brokerage account numbers and emails, '' she said. " However, it appears that contact information was the focus of the incident, '' she said.
