Complaint #1636410 submitted on 11/02/2015 relating to Army and Air Force Exchange Service. Complaint relates to Credit card - Customer service / Customer relations .
Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Monday 2nd November 2015.
I have called multiple times to Aafes credit hotline in regards to a time sensitive matter. I had an account that was paid and closed XX/XX/XXXX, the credit reporting agency XXXX indicated that Aafes stopped reporting on this account XX/XX/XXXX to all the credit reporting agencies. XXXX has indicated to me that Aafes needed to update to today 's date or provide a letter to all XXXX reporting agencies advising them to remove it from my credit report. This issue needed to be handled expeditiously as I am a veteran trying to finalize on the financing on my home loan, without this I will be without a home. First contact was with an agent that had to advise her supervisor of the issue, I was directed to email a formal complaint in. After the emailed complaint was sent a week and a half later I received an email from their credit disputes department stating that my report was updated to please allow 30-45 days for it to show on my report. I replied back asking for a copy of the updated outcome for my mortgage company to help finalize their credit decision. I received no reply, which I called their number to speak directly with the agent who had emailed me. I was told that agent does not take consumer phone calls the Aafes supervisor told me I had to wait 30-90 days for a reply. I was told emails went into a que only XXXX be answered XXXX at a time, she nor did Aafes care about by time sensitive matter. I had to wait the allotted time until my reply email was back at top to be answered. The following day I called again in hopes to reach a more respectable, helpful supervisor. To my dismay I reached another very rude supervisor that had generic almost scripted replies, except this time I was told no one had even stated on my dispute yet. I informed the supervisor that I received an email prior to that day from an Aafes credit agent stating my report had been updated. I have continuously made contact with Aafes trying to get a copy of their credit report for my account, every time I am refused a copy and told to wait up to the 90 days for a reply. To my knowledge under the XXXX the consumer should be sent a copy of their judgment on disputes.
