Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Thursday 5th November 2015.
The company ( Collection Bureau XXXX ) accepted funds to legally settle a debt ( Montgomery Ward ) but never provided information that the debt was settled. They never refunded me or the debt management company XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I was enrolled and working with. I would like for them to refund my money. My account was paid off by me in full. If they had actually completed the settlement when they received the funds my credit report could have been updated correctly for a long time prior to me paying the debt off in full. XXXX responded to me about the arrangements are as follows : Montgomery Ward - XXXX. And the rep confirmed the same Account Number to me as well.
The settlement we had worked out with Collection Bureau XXXX was for {$120.00} on the balance of {$240.00}. We paid off the amount in the manner as follows - {$62.00} on XXXX/XXXX/2013 -- Check By Phone payment.
