I am repaying a student loan that I am a co-signer on with my daughter XXXX. She attended XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX Due to healthissues she became unemployed and could not continue paying on her loan. Thisloan went into default before I became aware of it. The loan was charged off and dNational Enterprise Services acquired the loan. At this time the balancewas {$20000.00}. I paid {$4000.00} down and began paying them between {$100.00} - {$110.00} a month for almost four years. During that time my balance went down to {$15000.00}. I filed a complaint when I finally realized that the interest was being compounded daily at 6.6 %. This loan would never be paid at this rate! Now, NES has CLOSED out the loan as they have not taken 2 months payments from my checking account, and have given the loan to a FINAL collection agency, XXXX Theysaid they would negotiate for a final payment of XXXX lump sum but thatI could NO longer make payments. This would never work for me as I am retired and can not afford XXXX lump sum due to a fixed income. Please help me with this unbearable situation!
