Complaint #1603094 submitted on 10/12/2015 relating to Armada Corp.. Complaint relates to Debt collection Medical - Improper contact or sharing of info Talked to a third party about my debt.
Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Monday 12th October 2015.
In 2013, I suffered an emergency room visit while traveling for work out of state. I was seen by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX in XXXX XXXX XXXX Utah. Phone : XXXX. I presented them with my medical insurance and was discharged the same night. I told them I was traveling for work and that my company 's work insurance should pay for the visit. I never heard from them again ( a year later, I moved ). When I ran my credit report in XXXX 2015, there was a medical collection for {$650.00}! They never tried to contact me ( my phone number has n't changed in XXXX years ). They refused to delete the collection from my report after I paid it in full ( no longer worked for the same company ). By then it was with a collector and they refused to re-call the debt. They shared my personal medical information with a debt collector, violating HIPAA and refused to re-call the debt even when I offered to pay in full and even after I explained I had no knowledge of the debt. This collection is reporting on both my XXXX and XXXX reports and I would like it removed due to HIPAA violation and the fact that they did n't disclose it to me prior to sending to collections.
