Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Thursday 8th October 2015.
I have some outstanding past due medical bills that have gone to a collections agency. I have an answering machine on my land line phone. I have a generic outgoing message on the machine that states no one is able to answer the call and does not mention any names. Today, I found a message on the machine that claimed to be from the collections agency. The incoming message stated that it was for me, by name, and that anyone else should immediately hang up. The message then went on to explain the nature of the call was to collect a debt and gave the name of the agent and that of the agency and their telephone number. I have a girlfriend that spends several days at my house at a time and the answering machine is in the living room, where she can hear both the outgoing message and the incoming messages.
The message is saved on the answering machine, with no direct way to save it as a computer audio file. I may be able to play it back and capture the speaker output to a voice recorder that generates XXXX files that can then be copied to my computer.
