Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Tuesday 22nd September 2015.
On XXXX/XXXX/15 my husband received XXXX services through XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX billed us for the remaining balance after insurance paid their part. We had had prior experience with XXXX XXXX XXXX billing us for amounts that should have been settled through insurance. On XXXX/XXXX/15 I spoke to a person at XXXX XXXX XXXX who said the bill should be sent for adjustment and we should not pay while this was being done. We did not hear from them again. On XXXX/XXXX/15 we received a letter from Professional Credit Services saying the bill had gone to collection. We became concerned about our credit rating and paid the bill to PCS that day. When I called XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX they told me they had not sent the bill to PCS or any other debt collector but would look into it. I did not hear back from them. On XX/XX/XXXX we received a bill from a second collection agency, XXXX XXXX, for the same amount. XXXX XXXX XXXX now tell me they did send the bill to XXXX XXXX. It appears that they never did send the original bill for adjustment, nor did they attempt to re-bill us before sending it to collection. PCS tells me they did not buy the debt but had it sent to them by XXXX XXXX XXXX. They also say they paid the full amount to XXXX XXXX XXXX as soon as we paid the bill, on XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX claim they do n't have the money. Meanwhile, XXXX XXXX XXXX think they have a right to collect this money. We are very concerned about what having this debt looking like it is outstanding will do to our credit rating. We are also wondering where the money we paid to PCS has gone. I have spent a lot of time on the phone trying to address this, and would very much appreciate your assistance!
