My roommate and I were evicted from XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, NC back in 2013. We only owed one months rent which was just about {$900.00} but once turned over to Advanced Collection Bureau they tacked on extra fees totalling {$2700.00}. They have called me repeatedly and asked me personal questions about my income taxes and recommended that I send my entire check to them. I was told that I will never be able to get an apartment in my name again. When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was told I did not need XXXX and I just needed to pay the debt. Representative was very rude. The apartment complex is no longer in existence they are under new management and I contacted that particular office and was told that they do not have any record on file of my roommate and I owing any money to them. So if Advanced Collection Bureau is no longer collecting the debt on behalf of XXXX XXXX then they are pocketing the money themselves! We did not get our {$500.00} deposit back and it should have been applied to the balance left after we moved so I do not understand why the amount in collections is so high. I will take this to court I will not pay for something I do not understand.
