Consumer Loan Vehicle lease

Complaint #1543739 submitted on 08/29/2015 relating to VW Credit, Inc. Complaint relates to Consumer Loan Vehicle lease - Managing the loan or lease .

Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Saturday 29th August 2015.

Narrative (may be redacted).

I began leasing a VW XXXX in XXXX 2015. The XXXX month lease payment for XXXX 2015 of {$350.00} was paid and collected at the dealership. The XXXX payment, which was due in XXXX 2015, was submitted as XXXX Time electronic EFT payment via the VW Credit website with payment being drawn from my checking account. At this time, I also set up auto-payment for the lease payment to be debited from my checking account on a monthly basis.
At the time I submitted the XXXX 2015 payment via VW 's online system, I received an email confirmation that the one-time EFT payment was successfully submitted ( I have copy of the email confirmation ). At this point, I assumed that the XXXX 2015 lease payment was paid, and the Auto Payment would begin with the XXXX or XXXX 2015 payments. And, I never received any further email communication that the XXXX payment was not properly processed on by VW Credit. The only email communication I received was the attached confirmation that the payment request was received and scheduled.
I was out of town for nearly three weeks in late XXXX and early XXXX 2015. When I returned in, there was a letter from VW Credit stating that there was a problem processing the XXXX 2015 EFT payment and that I should XXXX-check the bank account information and try re-submitting online payment -- or send a paper check ASAP. I immediately re-submitted the XXXX and XXXX 2015 payments together via VW 's online system and a few days later I followed up by phone to confirm that the payment was received.
In XXXX 2015, I XXXX checked my credit scores in light of the fact that I was planning to apply for a commercial mortgage, and I noticed that my credit scores had dropped from approximately XXXX to the XXXX 's because VW Credit had reported the XXXX 2015 lease payment as being more than XXXX days late.
My credit report has never shown a delinquent or late payment, and my credit score has been historically in the XXXX range. Due to this reporting by VW Credit, my loan application is being priced at a higher interest rate.
Therefore, I am formally appealing this credit reporting action and submission by VW Credit based on the fact that the XXXX 2015 payment was properly submitted by me via VW 's EFT system, and, at the time I submitted such payment, the payment was not 30 days late. I had assumed by the email confirmation that I received that the EFT was submitted and being processed by VW Credit. I received no further email communication that VW Credit was having problems processing the payment request. I also did not receive the VW letter letter until I has returned home in XXXX.
I am requesting that this 30-day Late Notice be rescinded and that the Credit Reporting agencies be informed of this action. I submitted this information to VW Credit on XXXX XXXX, 2015 and requested a correction. On XXXX XXXX, 2015, I received an email message from VW Credit refusing to acknowledge that VW Credit made an error in processing my EFT payment and failed to notify me in a timely fashion.
