In XXXX of 2014 I pulled a copy of my credit report and noticed a collection for {$1000.00} reporting with a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX. Because I had no clue as to where this account came from or who they were, I requested documentation to validate the account was mine. XXXX XXXX was unable to do so and they sent me a letter deleting the account from all XXXX credit bureaus. Nowhere in this letter does it say they sold the account to a different collection agency nor did I ever receive any communication whatsoever from Capio Partners giving me 30 days to dispute the validity of the debt per the law. I called them on XXXX XXXX and spoke to XXXX of Capio Partners representatives and asked if they had ever sent anything to me in the mail and they stated they had not. They also never sent anything following that phone call since it was the first point of contact they are given 5 days to send a letter regarding the collection account giving me 30 days to dispute the validity. Instead I sent them a letter requesting validation and besides the fact that they never notified me of them obtaining this debt, they have an itemized statements of my supposed medical records but do n't have a HIPPA release with my signature nor a promise to pay with my signature. This is extremely fishy to me and the fact that they did n't follow the laws from the beginning means this debt is illegally reporting on my credit report.
