Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Tuesday 18th August 2015.
Kinum collection agency ( specifically XXXX and XXXX ) somehow either bought or received illegally a list of debtors from our XXXX. They began an aggressive unauthorized collection campaign against the persons on the list, many of whom do not owe us any money.
We called as soon as we realized what was happening and asked them to cease and desist all contact with all persons on their list. They continued to illegally contact, harass, and attempt to collect monies for over a week beyond our cease and desist. This included calling these people repeatedly through an autodialing network and through the U.S. mail. This company needs to be brought to task for severe violation of several laws of the fair debt collection act.
