Signature load from back in XXXX -- XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX got behind XX/XX/XXXX / XX/XX/XXXX attempted to work out arrangement w/ XXXX - would not work with me in any form while continuing to add penalties/ Fees and Interest on top of the accountXXXX XXXX stopped communicating w/ me for several months then I was contacted by Debt Collection Firm out of XXXX, XXXX ( XXXX & XXXX ) for payment arrangements - which I did as required made payments to them for this account and did so for three years - requested a balance on the account was told that it was paid - but no written documentation was ever sent as requested - collection reps would not give me their name whenever I called back to inquire.
In XXXX XXXX a Law firm out XXXX through their regional office in XXXX started sending me collection notices on the same account in an amount of approx. half of the original starting point with XXXX -- responded to them XX/XX/XXXX that this was incorrect and the account was paid in full as directed. Started receiving the same notices again this year this spring - they filed suit again me XX/XX/XXXX and the paperwork was served to my husband on XX/XX/XXXXXXXX has posted this account situation with the credit reporting firms on my husbands record as a " joint '' account for the past XXXX years -- he has made several attempts to get XXXX to either validate this information or remove it - their reply is always " correct as reported " Need some help believe I have been a victim or predatory lending/ and collection practices and my husband credit damaged for a very long time in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting ActPlease advise
