Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Friday 7th August 2015.

Narrative (may be redacted).

I 'm not sure if this is the most appropriate agency to contact regarding my complaint. I did pay for the service/repair of my car with a credit card. I took my XXXX Nissan Frontier to Dennis Dillon Nissan in XXXX for repair on XXXX/XXXX/2013. This is an authorized Nissan dealer in XXXX and I was told that they only utilize Nissan parts on repairs/replacements as shown on the Estimate. I agree for them to repair my car after I understood they would use Nissan parts. I found out later after receiving my car that some parts did not look new and I reached out to the dealer only to be told that parts used were aftermarket because the Nissan parts were not available. However, at no time during the repair process I was informed that the parts were not available and aftermarket parts were going to be used instead. furthermore, on XXXX/XXXX/2013 I paid an invoice showing the agreed parts on the estimate and I was not told that different parts were used as noticed on the invoice itself.
I made multiple attempts to reach a resolution with Dennis Dillon. I requested proof of where the parts came from and I was given a " parts shipment list '' which after investigation, I found that those parts were for multiple vehicles and none were actually for my car. I looked up every single part number at Nissan.com.
I spent about XXXX months trying to resolve the problem with Dennis Dillon. I noticed that the aftermarket parts started to show corrosion a couple of months after they were installed and I tried to get dealer to honor the lifetime warranty that he mentioned on a XXXX/XXXX/2013 email. Dealer refused to honor the warranty. I also discussed with dealer getting a refund for matching the price with the lower cost aftermarket parts that they had used but they refused. Dealer eventually stopped all contacts.
I tried to hire a private Attorney but Idaho is a very conservative State and most of them represent the insurance/defense. I did talk to a couple who believed that the amount paid for the parts was n't large enough for them to take the case.
I 've been taking my car to another Nissan dealer for maintenance and I 've found out that some parts that were supposed to be replaced are not on my car at all. for example, the front Grill was coming loose on one side and I was told today that there were seven clips that were not installed during repairs by Dennis Dillon. In addition, I was also told that they did n't do a proper job because the repaired side had been bolted rather than welded and as result it looks uneven on that side.
I 'm not sure if the FTC or other agency protects consumers from predatory/fraudulent practices but here is Dennis Dillon Address/contact information : Dennis DillonXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, ID XXXXPlease let me know if you can help me. I already tried hiring a private Attorney but not many in this area represent the people.
Sincerely, XXXX XXXX
