Complaint #1490440 submitted on 07/28/2015 relating to Asset Management Outsourcing, Inc.. Complaint relates to Debt collection Other (i.e. phone, health club, etc.) - False statements or representation Attempted to collect wrong amount.

Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Tuesday 28th July 2015.

Narrative (may be redacted).

XX/XX/XXXX auto accident, rushed to XXXX, XXXX insurances supplied to XXXX. XXXX doctors paid, yet XXXX Hospital did not file claims with either insurance. In XX/XX/XXXX received a letter from the Nationwide Recovery Service attempting to collect a debt. I informed them I was conscious and saw my spouse submit insurance cards to XXXX hospital officials. I subsequently over the phone gave Nationwide Recovery Service ( NRS ) my medical insurance information and they were to inform XXXX. I called both my insurance companies and found neither had a claim for my hospital to XXXX Hospital. And that I was not responsible for the bill because they had not filed in a timely manner only {$65.00}. But XXXX/NRS could send XXXX the bill ; however, the payment to them would be considerably less. They also indicated that because XXXX did not file and sent my name to a collection agency to pay, I could file a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission for Violation of the Fair Debt Collection Act because since XXXX doctors were paid, apparently they had my insurance info. I called NRS and passed on the info. XXXX XXXX asked if I was an attorney and if not, I could not say that. I said no I am not an attorney, but I do not have to be an attorney to exercise my rights. She then indicated she would contact XXXX and get back to me. I called on XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX and they gave me the same story, that I owed the bill. When I did not receive another bill from either XXXX or NRS, I assumed the problem had been rectified. When the XXXX hacked government retirees social security numbers a few weeks ago, I checked XXXX and found my credit score had dropped considerably and could not figure out why, until I came to the collection section. My credit reports reflects we have not been late on any payment since XX/XX/XXXX ( and that was because one of my credit company changed names and unbeknownst to us, we send payment to the old creditor mailing address ). I attempted to call XXXX for XXXX weeks ; however, the call would drop after holding for too long. As a XXXX, I did not want to go downtown XXXX. Finally I visited XXXX on Thursday XX/XX/XXXX. Upon speaking with XXXX at hospital, they indicated that accident bills were normally sent to their attorneys, and they had not filed the claim in a timely manner, therefore, the charge will be removed. I specifically asked about the collection company and my credit report. She indicated NRS would delete the charges and contact both credit bureaus to remove the debt. Spoke with NRS, they have deleted the debt but indicated they were not told to contact the credit bureaus. How can I get this rectified? Firstly, this should be completely expunged from my credit report. It should not say paid or whatever and stay on there for XXXX years because my FICO score will remain
