Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Wednesday 20th May 2015.
The company filed a report against my credit without contacting me. When I contacted the company to see why they had filed a report against my credit without contacting me they stated I had given false information about myself. As I had never given any information on the debt as it was not mine ( it was a mistake from XXXX ). When I asked them to give me the information that led them to file the report against my credit they refused. They stated I had provided fraudulent material to XXXX and it was my responsibility to give a phone number and address I never gave any of that information to anyone as it was not my debt. They stated that I must contact XXXX. Only through them could I contest the charge. The company never contacted me and filed a resolution against my credit score and never provided any information to me on why they did this. They refused to help me at all when I explained their numerous mistakes in contact information ( that I had never provided as the initial company made the mistake ). XXXX worked to resolve this quickly. The debt collection agency said it was all my responsibility for THEIR mistake. They have kept the mark on my credit report even though I never had an opportunity to respond as they had wrong information and never contacted me to allow me to dispute their claim.
