I signed up for an SPG credit card through AMEX with a welcome bonus of XXXX SPG points after XXXX spend in 3 months. The first time I applied it gave an error on the page, but the application still went through. So I applied again. One card was sent to my old address and the second was sent to my current address. I spoke with customer service and they advised me to cancel the card sent to the wrong address. After I spent XXXX dollars I never received my bonus, when speaking with customer service they informed me that it is a once in a lifetime bonus and since it was my XXXX card I was not eligible. I explained what happened and they said that they would forward a letter to another department and almost certainly due to the situation I would receive my bonus points after 6-8 weeks. After 8 weeks I contacted them again and they told me that they decided not to give me the bonus points, but they could forward another letter and I would have a decision in up to 8 weeks! I feel like they are just giving me the run around, when clearly I never received the 1st card and it was sent to the wrong address. Also the first customer service rep advised me to cancel that card.
