Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Tuesday 9th June 2015.
On XXXX XXXX, 2015 I received a call from XXXX XXXX of Ability Recovery Services LLC about a possible debt. She sent me a bill for the amount of {$400.00} and a letter notifying me I could dispute the charges. On XXXX XXXX, 2015 I replied to XXXX with fact information regarding the account in questions claims that I had paid for the services rendered.
A few weeks later I received another call from XXXX that she could not validate the account. She also claimed that 'Store It All ' whom claims this debt was to submit her contract information which I had asked her to send me when she received it.
On XXXX XXXX, 2015 while trying to refinance my home it was brought to my attention that Ability Recovery Services reported this so called debt to the credit bureaus without validating the debt.
On the evening of XXXX XXXX I tried getting in touch with XXXX but spoke with a XXXX XXXX of Ability Recovery Services whom was verbally aggressive and refused to validate the debt and demand I just pay this debt. I will not tolerate this abusive behavior from any business. I strongly believe Ability Recovery Services is in violation of the FDCPA and needs to be investigated.
On XXXX XXXX, 2015 XXXX XXXX from ARS LLC returned a call I made and made me aware she has take over this debt and XXXX is no longer there. XXXX also gave me a hard time about validating the debt and I advised her of violating the FDCPA. I explained to her she legally has to provide proof of validation. She told me " that it will remain on my credit report and I have to pay the debt '' and then she hung up on me like everyone else there when I strongly ask for debt validation.
