Complaint #1376568 submitted on 05/14/2015 relating to First National Collection Bureau, Inc.. Complaint relates to Debt collection Credit card - False statements or representation Attempted to collect wrong amount.
Complaint was submitted via Web and sent to the company on Thursday 14th May 2015.
This company has repeatedly sent me bogus letters about a Debt that is Time-Barred. In their wording they are trying to re-age the debt. It is over 15 years old.
They are zombie collectors.
This alleged debt has not only exceeded the statute of limitation but is also no longer valid nor can it be validated by the original company or by the zombie collectors.
They are using unethical and illegal practices to try and collect a debt that can no longer be validated due to it being over 15 years old. I have contacted the company " XXXX XXXX '' the original debtor and they can no longer find it to validate it even with the extremely aged account number First National is referencing on the letter they sent me.
New Jersey 's Statute of Limitations for Credit Card Debt is : 6 years State Statute 2A:14-1.
This company is violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) by trying to reage accounts for their financial gain.
